Sunday Ride

I was keeping up pretty well at this point. I went over the first bridge with ease.

I was holding back here because I was staying with Aileen. Once we got on A1A I was slowing down. Aileen passed me and I was struggling to keep 11 mph. I just thought I was getting tired or we were riding into the wind. On Hallendale Beach Blvd, Xander had to come fetch me I had fallen so far behind. He pushed me over the bridge. When we joined the rest of the group is when we realized I didn't have any air in my back tire. One of the guys had a pump and we refilled my tire but it was flat again by Washington Street.

I broke off and started home. The tire only lasted for another mile and I ended up pushing for the last 2 miles.

These guys kept me company for a bit.

I'm terribly disappointed I could not finish this ride. Xander once told me this ride would kill me and he was leading it so I was determined to prove him wrong. Sad part about it is I could have finished it if I didn't have mechanical difficulties. Besides I hate being told I can't do something..I will do it even if it kills me.

These looked so much like Black Eyed Susans I had to snap a photo. Blackeyed Susans are the Maryland state flower but they bloom in the fall. At the Preakness they have to dye daises for the horseshoe wreath they hang on the winners horses neck.

After spending all my money at the Bike shop, Lourdes and I went to the beach.

Mom took this photo on her walk with the dogs. Today is our 2nd anniversary of the move to Florida.

This was taken with my cell at Flannagans on Tuesday after the bike ride. Kerry and her nephew Michael.

Think Moshe is taking the swine flu scare a little too serious?
