The Village Idiots
That's what we looked like, sitting there in our camp chairs for about an hour. Most everyone who walked by asked if we thought we were going to see the fireworks from there and we replied we were told so. Some said they were going to join us but no one did. Until they started them and family with babies ran up the street and ended our peaceful firework watching.
The yummy dairy guy from Whole Foods stopped to talk to us. I didn't introduce him to Mom because I forgot his name. He probably thinks she's my partner. Oh how could I forget.
Since we both got our hair cut so short and we are always together we suspect that is the general opinion around here.
We were kinda far away so those heart stopping booms we heard but you didn't feel them in your chest. Well after the kids showed up we couldn't hear them anymore anyway.
