Well I finally have the thyroid replacement medication
And it couldn't come too soon. I am so tired and tired of the Charley horses. Yesterday in Giant my skirt caught on a display and I turned to look to see if it tore and wham...Major Charley horse. I must have looked a sight trying to walk it off in major grimace dragging my non working leg like dead wood down the isle. Totally freaked out a stocker girl who thought I hurt myself and was gonna run to the office to make a report, Mom set her strait. I haven't been able to do crunches, I haven't been able to ride my bike, walking around has even been interesting. The surgeon had me on 500 miligrams of calcium and vitamin D 5 times a day and I have been eating everything I can think of with potassium that I can and they were still plaguing me. The problem with potassium rich foods is they cause another embarrassing problem I had to deal with too.
The new medication is one slow working one and one fast working one. The slow working on I will take probably the rest of my life and the other for just 7 days. I started them both today. I hope I'm back to my perky self in no time.
