The Fancy Dance

I didn't write this, I'm not a creative writer. I can't credit to anybody, I found it in a clothing catalog of all places. When I read it I started feeling the drum in my chest and longing to attend a Pow Wow. So I took this weekend off and we are hitting the red road.

The Fancy Dance
Its the very symbol of powwow action and spirit. The Fancy Dance deviates from traditional Navajo Dances with its incredible athleticism - fancy footwork, increased speed and wild movements.
With each performance the drummer chooses the beat: fast, slow, Northern style or varied. Mesmerizing to watch the dancers seem at times to be floating on air, with their fancy regalia gliding and flapping in perfect beat with the drum.
