They think we are gay

Yesterday Mom and I walked down to Whole Foods to get some Pleasant morning Buzz. The guy behind us asked me about the coffee and we both were answering his questions. We were talking about different coffee houses and how their coffee tastes. I used Moms credit card to pay and handed it back to her just as Mom was telling him we were moving in a month to Florida. Then the discussion went to where and where in Florida he has been.
He said "Y'all will have a nice life down there"

When we got outside Mom said "he thinks we're gay, you should have called me Mom a few times."
"I thought you didn't want me to call you Mom"
"When did I say that?"
"In Ocean City"
"That was 20 years ago, I think you can call me Mom now"
"Oh"
