You wouldn't believe what I did.....

I misread the schedule and arrived at work to open the store when I was scheduled to close it.
Thanks Gail for not making me drive back home for 2 hours and then drive back. So I ended up working 9-8:15. I was pretty tired. I think I forgot to put the cash in the safe too. Its locked up in the cash drawer but I don't usually forget stuff like that. Twice I picked it up to carry it to the safe as someone came in the door so I put it back and eventually forgot it.
Driving home I saw a big pretty moon and a subway car on 270.
(this here is a pic of a subway car on the tracks where it belongs. It looks a lot weirder on the freeway)
It had a police escort.
Those blue lights are annoying.
Guess Metro is getting a new car..hope they skip the orange interior.

Sounds silly, but you have made me homesick for orange metro cars and 270 (almost). I am a native Montgomery County girl and really miss home some days!
I grew up in Silver Spring, but my first apartment was in G'burg. We then went to Germantown and then Frederick before becoming official Yankees and going to PA.
Thanks for the glimpse of home!
