Seven things I didn't know last Sunday

Mom received a check addressed to her in Hollywood California, they had the zip correct so she got it here.

Mom gets so confused when the British field reporter at the local station talks..she thinks somehow she flipped onto BBC. I like to hear him talk, he actually speaks American with a lovely accent. The BBC reporters talk English and I don't understand all of what they say.

The democratic symbol came into use when Andrew Jackson first ran for president. The papers were saying he was a jackass to run. Just ask any Native American, they can tell you what a jackass Jackson really was.

I learned yesterday our doctor chose not to renew his lease with our store.

The dentists down here do things a little different. I have enough allowance left for a cleaning and cursory exam but all the dentist offices I called needed to do a full exam with films before a cleaning. One assistant went so far as to say the dentist has to tell the hygienist how to clean your teeth. I did find one dentist to do it..so Friday I'm using the rest of my allowance for the year.


I have one more "floating" vacation day to use before the 31st.

I can't say the lab is backed up, I can only say its committed until (whatever date given to me by the lab insert here ) and I can make sure your job gets done as soon as they filled their commitments.
