Can I get a translator here please?
"You can say hi now, that was really rude"
"What are your talking about?"
"When you rode up you just asked me to fix your bike, no greeting, no nothing."
"I greeted you."
"No you didn't"
"When I rode up I said hey."
"Exactly"
"Hey is southern for hi"
The couple at the next table turn around and tell him she's right ya know.
"I thought the hey was just to get my attention"

Funny the difference in languages just from region to region, isn't it? Though I knew "hey" was Southern for "hi" from watching Andy Griffith lo those many years ago!
I'm guilty!
Honest--didn't realize they were one in the same for a longggg time. Thank goodness for older couples who'll set folks straight, huh?!
"Hey Andy!"
"Hey Gomer!"
