Bike Ride for the Lightpacer

we rode in Delray beach. 15.6 miles in the heat. The car said it was 101 on I-95 on the way home.

I took a little spill. The bike lane ended and we were on the sidewalk and a parking meter jumped out in front of me while I was looking at a dog. I didn't get too banged up but my chain came off and Aileen and David had to put it back on for me. I should have taken Mel's advice and got elbow pads. The last fall in the slime was on the left this time on the right..at least I'm alternating.

we rode A1A on what they call Millionaire Row...I could get any shots of the homes because of the tall landscaping and walls.

we stopped at a curb market to get sandwiches. Everyone ordered their sandwiches by number but I got the special..so they were calling out number 38 number 35 and when they got to me just special...I'm special.

We took our sandwiches to Gulfstream park. Some of us went swimming in our bike clothes. After the spring last week the water felt like bath water to me.

That is Vanessa hamming it up for the camera

Some of the riders did not go into the surf..they stayed under a tree and rested.
