IT'S FUNNY

I had oral surgery on Friday and then went out drinking in So. Md.
So when I wasn't feeling good on Sunday and Monday I assumed it was from way too much alcohol.
Tuesday I felt even worse and still I thought I was coming down with a flu or maybe having an allergic reaction to the purple hair dye. I didn't even go dancing on Tuesday night, I really felt that bad.
Wednesday I woke up with that whole side of my face swollen and throbbing, fever and chills. I had to call off work. The dentist put me on antibiotics.
Funny how I never thought it was my teeth until Wednesday..go figure.

So being unwell I have had a great deal of time to think and absorb everything that happened over the weekend.

Funny how you can get stuck thinking something in your past happened a certain way until your hit with the "other side of the story"
Over the weekend I was let in on a little known secret.
I'm not going to go into details. But it's something that happened when I was 19.
But its fair to say that neither one of us comes out smelling fresh on this one.
And I was not as innocent in the whole thing as I thought I was.

On another note, I was let in on another big secret.
The rest of the world thinks us Bloggers just drone on about our illnesses and menstrual cycles on our blogs.
Funny, the ones I read regularly hardly ever mention their periods.
If mine ever gets that mundane, someone please slap me.

to the other anonymous poster - you should probably mind your own business and judge not, lest ye be judged - it is plain to see who the ....... is on this posting - you.

Only a True Coward would post something such as this. Do you have something to hide?

Ok, here is the deal, obviously you are close to the situation in some way. Which means you are acting foolish and immature to post something as personal as this, regardless if it is true, in such a forum. If you have something to say to Lyn, or anyone else in the FAMILY I welcome your phone call. Otherwise, take this crap elsewhere. Be brave, identify yourself.

BTW I am the second anonymous poster...

Oh my courageous friend who refuses to identify themself. What you fail to understand is that Lyn is my sister and I am part of the family. I stand by my sister no matter what. The true measure of a person is dictated by how they handle situations and you are handling this as a malicious and blatant attack against lyn in futile attempt to turn people against her. If you have something to say to lyn you should call her directly, not post this kind of dribble and hide in cyberspace. Everyone makes good decisions and bad decisions in their lives and we all have to live with them, good or bad. To remind a person, of such a painful time in their life, in such an unconscionable manner is poor form. If something affected you directly I suggest that to speak with Lyn or a therapist. All I can say is people in glass houses need not cast the first stone.

Additionally, by my estimation, you could be one of 3 people. Any of the 3 people I have in mind have no room to present themselves in such an innocent regard. So again, I ask you, identify yourself and lets open some dialogue.

I deleted some of todays earlier post because they were abusive and biased not to mention totally incorrect.
If this person is one of the three we suspect it is, my phone number is known to them.
This is not the forum for such a discussion.
Unfortunately, this person has forced me to screen future comments.

Whoa! Looks like I missed something here.

Anyway, I'm glad you're all recovered from the effects of your oral surgery. Lesson learned: do not go drinking soon after getting dental or oral work done.

And I think we're allowed to be mundane; it's our business what we write--that's why it's called a personal blog.

Oy geeze...I'm sorry this happened here, Lyn. It's been such a peaceful little spot in cyberspace.

And to stand up and take your part in the situation was and is a noble thing.

Personally, that's honourable.

Far more so than playing the judge and jury to avoid looking at oneself.

*hugs*
Hang in there!

I actually sort of like reading about periods, but then...well...I'm creepy. ;)
