The Christmas Party and other stuff

On Saturday we had our annual Christmas Party after work. First we had to have a store meeting.

We went to this Bar and Grill that looks so classy from the outside but looked like a sports pub on the inside. I hear it used to be a pub. The food was really good. I had Salmon, it was served with brown and wild rice and squash.

The band turned out to be one man with a guitar and harmonica. He did do a nice rendition of Curtis Lowe but mostly everything else was out of key and slowed tempo.

Dater guy (we have to think up a better name for him) didn't join us as planned. Work and having to drive his cousin to the airport got in the way. He lives 40 minutes away so he was thinking he couldn't get over here in time. Still he could have called and let me know. I had a suspicion I wasn't going to see him when I didn't talk to him Friday or Saturday.

So Dater guy calls Sunday. He drove up here and we did something on my day off. Its really great to have something to do on a day off with someone.

I put the first tank of gas in my new car yesterday. I was going to get her first car wash too. But the car wash broke just as I got to it. Glad it broke then, the guy in the wash had to go find somewhere to rinse off the soap.

I had to go buy sunglasses without a RX to wear with my contacts.

I don't go to work until 2. I think I will run down to Shoppers and get more Highly Nutricious Microwavable Meals.

Mom is coming home on the 24th as planned, so I wasn't going to have to drive to Florida afterall.
