Full Moon Paddle

We (Lina and I)got there late. I had patients and couldn't leave at 5. It was raining but we thought it would clear up. We navigated the weird toll road and found the park.
We had to sign some release forms for the park and went down to the water and the heavens opened up.
Jordon called all the other boaters in.
While waiting (for the rain to stop maybe) we were all standing under the overhang of the boathouse where the wind wasn't whipping. I chose to stand in the wind and mist because Gnats kept flying up my nose.
Since it didn't look like it was going to blow over,Jordan made other arrangements with the park and got us a shelter to eat under. Since we didn't know where we were going, we followed the white truck but it turned out the white truck wasn't our group. All the signs for the shelters faced the entrance way and the second attempt to find the correct shelter was also wrong. We found that we were again at the wrong shelter after unpacking the correct white truck. Finally the marina employees took < pity on us > us to the correct shelter and we set up and ate.
The rain really started about half way thru the meal, but we were dry and it was nice.
We had a great tossed salad and Lasagna, Italian bread, and baked corn and roasted green beans. They also served chicken and a vegetarian lasagna. Banana pudding and brownies for dessert.
The food was great the company was funny, so we didn't get in a canoe, it still was a great time.

By the Way when I got home and was walking Sioux the sky cleared and the moon came out from behind the clouds.

Oh, go figure it cleared up after the event?

Gnats up the nose, suck. But I'm glad it was good fun, even if it wasn't in a canoe.

Red sky at morning and all that jazz, huh?
